In March 2026, Ghana experienced generally above normal rainfall across most regions, particularly in the middle and southern sectors, with some locations recording very high totals. Rainfall frequency also increased in many areas, especially in the middle and northern zones. However, parts of the coastal belt showed reduced rainfall frequency despite above normal totals, indicating the occurrence of intense, short-duration rainfall events.
