2026 MAJOR RAINY SEASON FORECAST

The seasonal rainfall forecast indicates that March–April–May (MAM) will likely see below-normal rainfall over parts of southwestern Ghana and the eastern coastal belt, while most of the country is expected to receive normal to above-normal rainfall. During April–May–June (AMJ), rainfall is expected to be normal to above normal along the eastern coast and nearby inland areas, whereas the Forest, Transition, and Northern zones are likely to experience normal to below-normal rainfall.
