The 5-day forecast for the Ghana portion of the Volta basin shows moderate to high rainfall over regions such as Upper East (Bolgatanga, Fumbisi, Kongo), North East (Walewale) and Upper West (Jirapa, Tumu). Rainfall accumulation in these areas are expected to range between 60 – 120mm with medium impact anticipated. Low to moderate rainfall is expected over regions such as Northern (Yendi), Volta (Hohoe) and Eastern (Donkorkrom) with low impact expected. The remaining areas in the basin are expected to record low rainfall with no impact.
