Volta Basin Flood Bulletin (5th May 2026)

Across most parts of Ghana's portion of the Volta Basin,

overall low rainfall conditions are anticipated over the next five

days. Total accumulated rainfall is expected to remain

generally below 15 mm across much of the northern areas of

the basin. In contrast, the southern portions are likely to

experience comparatively moderate rainfall, with totals

ranging between 30 and 40 mm, particularly around Kyinderi,

Kwamikrom, Nkwanta, Kpasa, and Dambai in the Oti region

with no impact expected.
