The localised rainstorm mentioned in the earlier weather warning is currently affecting parts of the north and transition areas and is expected to spread, bringing thunderstorms and rain to most areas over the north, transition and middle sectors of the country from this evening into the night. However, the east coast and inland areas are likely to experience mostly cloudy conditions with slight rain. Mist or fog patches are likely over parts of the coastal, forest and mountainous areas early tomorrow morning.
The week is expected to be characterised by early morning mist/fog patches from the coast to the transition sectors. During the afternoon hours, sunny conditions are expected to prevail across all sectors of the country with thunderstorms and rain coming through from late afternoon into the evening hours. The transition and the northern sectors will experience widespread thunderstorms and rain from the 24hr period into the weekend. Whereas the weekend is expected to produce reduced rainfall activities (Scattered thunderstorms or rain). The middle sector will experience rain with occasional thunderstorms throughou the week while the coast and inland areas experience slight to moderate rain or showers for the entire week.
